January favourites

Hey hunnies!
Tonight has been pretty heavy with bio revision so I thought I would break it up and do my January favourites :)

January has been a great month for trying out new products that I got for Christmas and trialing them for a whole month has given me a good in site into what they are like so here goes :)
I got this wonderful surprise under the tree and it is my favourite smell ever.  I went into Selfridges about 3 months ago looking for a new perfume after my Vivienne Westwood 'Boudoir' had run out, and nothing could match the classicness of this smell.  It's just beautiful and would definitely recommend it to anyone else on the look out for a new smell!

I also got this bad boy for Christmas and it was my main pressie.  I have always been into writing everything down as it makes me more relaxed about everything.  So for Christmas I asked for a filofax and I got the Finsbury personal in yellow.  It's honestly the coolest thing ever and it's in one of favourite colours ever, thanks mum! hehe

I got a few sparkly nail polishes for Christmas and this made me discover how much I love the impact of red nails!  I wore them with a white dress to prom last summer and I love how something so simple can change your outfit.  This month I have been wearing 'Risky Red' by 17.  This polish is cheap and cheerful however didn't stay chip free for long :(  Another red polish fav is Revon Red by Revlon.

I went to Boot's over the Christmas hols (my favourite sale!) and I picked up a No.7 skin care set for half price- £12.50 :D In the set you get little bottles of beautiful skin day and night cream- perfect for travelling.  I used mine up in January and I will definitely be going back to repurchase!  Foundation goes on top of the day cream like a dream and my skin is nice and hydrated in the morning after using the night cream.  If you have tried this please tell me what you think!

They are the things I have been loving in January, thank god it's nearly February!
If you have a favourites post, leave the link and I will check it out :)

NOTW: nails of the week

Hey hunnies!

As i'm in sixth form and I can wear nail varnish I am constantly buying and trying new colours to dress up my hands with.  I have always loved painting my nails and I thought I would show you guys what I went with for this week:

(Barry M nail polish £2.99, colour: indigo)

Barry M is my favourite nail polish ever, it's cheap as chips and they have every colour known to man (one for every mood!).  This week I went for the colour Indigo because i'm usually all about the bright colours (orange, yellows) but I thought I would try out a darker colour and it's working for me :)

(base coat by Rimmel £5.49)

I thought I would give this base coat a mention because I picked it up at asda for about £5.49 but it is the best base coat I have ever come across.  Since I always wear nail polish my nails never get chance to breath but this has kept them in great condition.

Make sure you let me know what you guys think and what colours you have of Barry M :)

January wishlist

Hey hunnies!

Payday still seems a world away so I thought I would make a post about the items I would buy if I had the money hehe (online window shopping!)

1.  Tile Print High Neck Dress £75
This dress is from Topshop and I am in love with the style of it.  The high neck in a dress is something we don't see often enough and the pattern is just gorgeous.  I thought the price was a little steep but I suppose this is the usual price for a dress from Topshop, and it's so worth it. Topshop you never get it wrong!

2. Iphone 5
I have wanted an iphone in forever and hopefully I will get one for my birthday :)  They are so slick and classy and having everything such as- music, photos and internet- all in one place really attracts me to a phone like this.  If you have one let me know your verdict, are they worth the money?

3. Dior nail glow £18
On my facebook page, I saw that Vogue had posted about this product and it immediately intrigued me.  Natural looking nails are sometimes the best option for school, work etc. so I need to check this out.  Something tells me it will be worth splashing out the £18...

4. Cambrigde Satchel £105
These satchels are to die for, I see people in town with them all the time and they are just so classic looking which I love.  I need to own one asap and I constantly check the website to see what limited collections they have at that time.  This one caught my eye as I loved the check section in the middle.

Thanks for reading hunnies!  Let me know what's on your wishlist this month :)

My winter saviour

Hey hunnies!

I suffer from really chapped lips in the winter and so i'm constantly looking for the next lip balm that says it will make it better and the other week I discovered the most awesome balm ever.  Carmex!!  Why am I so late at discovering this fabulous thing?

The packaging is so handy just to throw in any sized hand bag and works like a dream under lipstick!  Not to mention the smell which is amazing, if you are a fan of this product and are repurchasing make sure you pick up the cherry version- it's to die for!

Make sure you tell me if you've tried out this balm and what you think!

Dior Couture Show

(I do not own any of these photos: source)

I am in love with extravagant fashion shows like this one!  I take textiles at school for AS level and whilst i'm not a fan of designing, I still love seeing everyone else's design ideas put into reality especially when it is at such a high profile event like the Dior Spring Couture show.

I have picked out a few of my favourite dresses from the event, make sure you tell me what you think hunnies!

(again, I do not own any of these photos: source)

All the dresses are so so cool and are totally perfect for Spring, their shapes are cool and fresh and the little flowers make them traditional at the same time LOVE IT :)

Let me know what you think and whether they got it right once again?

Mini Haul: kukee.co.uk

Hey guys!

A few months ago I discovered the most amazing jewelry site in the world and that is Kukee!

The first time I discovered it I was amazed by how cute everything was and at such a good price so make sure you go and have a look :) Postage is also a good price and is totally worth it!

I bought a few things from there last week and they arrived today so I thought I would show you what I ordered:
I bought lots of rings because they are my fave thing at the moment and I love stacking them but sometimes this can result in them costing a lot but not from here!

(dangly charm rings- £1.50 each)
These were the first things I fell in love with because of the variety they have.  I bought the tusk, planet and dinosaur ones and I thought these would look awesome when stacked on many fingers and they make a really cool jangly noise (which is an added bonus!;) ).

Next I ordered two above knuckle rings and last time I had one of these I loved it so much that I wore it all the time but one day it fell down the sink as I was washing my face- so beware!
They were a little smaller than the last one I ordered (or my fingers have got fatter :O) and fits comfortably on my little finger but they can be worn on any finger that suits you :)

Next I picked up these super cute heart stacking rings that come in a set of 5 and are all different colours.  Because my fingers have put on weight I can wear them comfortably as above knuckle rings or stack them on my little finger which I love.  These are simple but effective and could be worn to jazz up any outfit :)

I got this as a free gift because I had spent a certain amount on the website and its awesome. So cute and fits on any finger and if I had noticed it on the website I would have ordered it aswell!

Let me know what you guys have ordered from Kukee and what you think of their stuff!

REVIEW | Clinique chubby stick

I was a bit late to catch onto the amazing wonderfulness of the Clinique chubby stick but better late than never eh?

I went to John Lewis with my mum and we were checking out the beauty counters (the best bit!) and the lady behind the Clinique counter asked if I wanted to try them out.  I gave it a go and I have never looked back.

I tried on a few colours but by far my favourite was 05 Chunky Cherry.  I loved the colour and so I bought it at quite a steep price of £16 but it's totally worth it!

The main reason I love it so much is it is perfect for school, I go to sixth form so I am allowed to wear subtle make up and when I have finished with my foundation and mascara and I always feel like a little colour is missing, but this fills the gaps so well.

As it's been winter and I've suffered from super dry lips I thought I would put it to the test to see how moisturising it actually is and it works miracles.

The colour can be layered up to make it stand out more or just stick with one layer for a more gentle colour.

If you fancy checking out other colours that are available click here :)

Let me know what you think of the Clinique chubby stick!

Because it's a new year

This year, for a new years resolution I vowed to my friends and family that I would try my best to get a six pack in prep for my super sexy 3 week trip to America in the summer.

To achieve this crazy goal I purchased 'Jillian Micheals 30 day shred' and today I reached day 3.
OH MY GOD it is the hardest thing I have ever done, she says that if you work out for 20 minutes a day for 30 days then you will replace fat for muscle and I am exhausted already!

I felt the effects today during my Biology exam when I could barely pick up my pen without my joints aching but I am keen to continue and see what happens with my fitness and muscle.

Let me know what your doing for new year!
